Absolutely perfect describes my flowers on my wedding day! Working with Diane was one of the best decisions my husband and I made. Diane understands flowers and combines her knowledge with creativity and style to make the most gorgeous arrangements. All within a fixed budget!!! We were so pleased with every aspect of her services; we recommend her without reservation!

I don't even know how to convey what a absolute pleasure it was to work with Diane. She is a true artist and someone who LOVES what she does. I was grateful to have had her guidance and felt completely confident that she would deliver an amazing finished product. I was not disappointed. The centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnieres were amazing and I received many compliments on them. Thank you so much Diane for all your hard work and for all your help making our day beautiful.

I came to Diane with less than two months until my wedding and she immediately made me feel like I was in good hands. I didn't have a very specific idea of what I wanted and Diane was able to put together some beautiful seasonal flowers for our party. Not only was everything beautiful but my bouquet smelled amazing! I didn't even get a chance to take home a centerpiece because all the guests had snatched them up! Diane kept me updated on what she was able to get for my party and she was very affordable. I highly recommend her!

Diane provided all the flowers for our wedding, and everything was perfect - from the bouquets, to the ceremony arrangements, to the centerpieces, to the mantel decorations... it was all great.Diane was extremely helpful during the planning process, making lots of great suggestions, and she really understood the look I was going for right away. We got married in Altamont, NY but live in Pittsburgh and she was easy to work with from long distance. She worked with our other vendors as needed and everything came together perfectly without me worrying at all.I was thoroughly pleased with her service! I wouldn't have changed anything.

Diane did an absolutely amazing job with the flowers for our wedding. From our very first meeting, I knew that she would be our florist! She understood exactly what I had envisioned and offered ideas and advice every step of the way. Diane goes above and beyond and played a huge part in making our day perfect. She custom made the decor for our alter/pergola out of twigs, branches and hydrangea from her yard. It was stunning. On top of it all, Diane offered the best prices (by far) in the area. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!

Diane did an amazing job on my flowers for the wedding. as soon as i sat down with her to giver her my ideas she instantly knew what i wanted and how to do this amazing floral arrangment in my budget. she is a pleasure to work with and has an incredible artisit eye with flowers! thank you again diane!!!!!

Diane was an absolute godsend when it was time for me to look for flowers! She was recommended by a friend of the family and although I had never heard of Yankee Floral I thought it was worth checking out (and I am so glad I did.) Diane has a unique artistic sensibility coupled with an uncanny ability to sense the unique style of each bride. I told her what my vision was for my overall look and theme without any pictures and she was able to give me the guidance as to what type of floral arrangements would be appropriate. She even suggested using candles as centerpieces to be more cost efficient. She cares about her clients happiness and is willing to work with brides on a tight budget (that is part of the reason I was interested). She is also quick to respond to e-mails. She got back to me with in a couple of hours and phone calls were returned on the same day as well. I wound up adding a lot of things on, some last minute and she was able to accommodate every single thing that I asked of her. On my actual wedding day Diane wanted everything to be perfect. She helped put together some of my candle centerpieces without being asked because she was afraid the flowers would not get placed around them in time and she wanted them to be perfect. She even decorated my cake with flowers inside of a cooler to get the job done! When my bouquets and bridesmaids flowers arrived they were even more gorgeous then what I had expected. She upgraded them at no charge fearing that they did not look perfect enough. How many florists would do that? I am extremely pleased with her work and would highly recommend Yankee Floral to any bride.

I don't even know where to begin with my comments.I wish I could give Diane more than 5 stars! She was absolutely wonderful to work with. She went above and beyond in every single way. Flowers were perfect, absolutely stunning. Diane has such a wonderful creative style and is so knowledgeable. Cost was unbelievable for what we got. She made everything very stress free and absolutely nailed our style right from our first meeting. She was able to be so flexible and pulled all the details together even with my last minute forgetful bride brain!Future brides would be NUTS to not book Diane.I cannot say enough good things about her. A friend of mine referred me to Diane and it was the BEST reference I could have asked for. Prior to meeting with Diane, I had an idea of what I liked but needed guidance as to the details and my actual wedding day. After speaking with my, now husband, and I for an hour or so, she was able to gain strong enough insight on what I enjoyed and where my spirits were. I was so happy when I saw the flowers on our day, I almost cried. I honestly didn't even know what to say. Not to be biased, but out of the numerous weddings I've been to, my bouquet was by far the most eloquent. It was TOTALLY me! She took an idea and ran with it and created a floral masterpiece. I'm not sure how else to describe it! I can't WAIT to refer her to my friends. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. She's energetic, knows her flowers, understands her clients needs, and is a great listener. You can really tell she puts her heart into everything she does. OUTSTANDING!

We first saw Diane's work at a friend's wedding last summer. The beautiful floral bouquets and centerpiece arrangments were done so well that we knew we would have to see if she would be available for our wedding this past July. Thankfully Diane was able to work with us on our wedding flowers because we do not believe that any other floral artist would have been able to take our vision of using micro brew bottles in planters and make it into a classy and visually stunning floral centerpiece arrangment! We feared that our container choice would offend, but Diane loved the creativity and took it to a whole other level!!Diane instinctually knew which flowers to use to make our bottle arragement not only aesthetically pleasing but also conversation-friendly, in that they did not obstruct table views. The bridal party flowers were also well done and gorgeous! We loved everything and were so incredibly pleased with how our combined visions merged together to both satisfy the bride and the groom. Thank you so much Diane for giving us such beauty on our most awesome day!

My husband and I were married in a small ceremony in the Bahamas. A month later, we threw a “wedding celebration,” catered in a local park. I wanted to work with a local florist for the occasion, and Diane came highly recommended by several friends. When I met with Diane, I explained to her that I wanted to bring the idea of the islands back home with me. I also explained to her that I didn‘t want to go overboard, since it wasn’t a formal reception. I wanted simple centerpieces for the tables, consisting of stargazer lilies and reeds. She had the idea to add in orchids, which gave an elegant touch to the look that I wouldn’t have thought of on my own.It was like Diane read my mind. She tied everything together from our experience. The flowers were accompanied by vibrant green reeds, as well as other, simple touches she threw in. The vases were weighed down with translucent, blue stones (representing the ocean), and small pebbles and shells to remind us of the shoreline. When she arrived with the arrangements the day of the celebration, I couldn’t believe my eyes. They were perfect. The colors tied everything together with our other decorations, and the wonderful scent of the lilies filled the air as the breeze gently blew. When guests arrived, they all commented on how lovely the flowers were. The simple, yet tasteful look complimented the feel of the day. It was exactly what we wanted. Guests took the flowers home, which stayed in bloom for days after the celebration. Thank you, Diane! Everything was lovely.

The plan to have a small elegant wedding affair started 2 years ago for my wedding anniversary. I spoke to Diane in regard to the day and she embedded my vision and gave me the most beautiful day of my life. Feather and pearls became a signature bloom for the personal flowers. Diane put a vintage twist on my bridal bouquet by creating a hand-tied spray of mixed calla lilies with pearls and feather . The elegance of all the flowers made it so gorgeous, and the movements of all the bouquets as we were coming down the aisle made it look angelical.The five bridesmaids and the maid of honor carried matching cascades of calla lilies and orchids, which coordinated beautifully with their gowns and also had feather that coordinate with my bouquet. The color palette extended to the groomsmen and the younger members of the wedding party as well. Two flowers girls carried handmade bouquets made with callas and pearls shape like a ball just like I have requested, which beautifully repeated the shape of the all the warm flowers that graced the pews as they walked down the aisle.Diane had to quickly improvise and make me a gazebo as there was no stand for the outdoor ceremony. As I walked down the aisle, the warm colors, the shape, the fresh scent of the flowers, and the decor of the gazebo were an unforgettable sight. I felt like I had just arrived to an enchanted garden.After the ceremony, I took a peek at the ballroom before the guests, and I was speechless. My sweet heart table was decorated with garden style arrangements that sprawled the length of the table, and votives provided a romantic glow among the cake flowers. Each of the 10 guest tables was set with a tall Eiffel Tower vase with tall feather stem creating an arching display over the settings. Diane took the time to create and completed the romantic look by adding crystal papers on the bottom of each vase. The guests were in awe for days after the wedding. Diane is passionate about her work and it certainly reflects in all her designs. She is warm, professional and goes out of her way to please her customers. She gave me a sense of security every time I discussed the plan with her. My wedding day floral decor was unforgettable, thanks to Diane and Tony. Yankee floral did an amazing job for flowers and decor at my ceremony and reception. They worked within my budget and were very accommodating. Any questions I had about the flowers or overall wedding were answered via email in the same hour. Very knowledgeable and professional, highly recommended.

Diane is very insightful and has an amazing ability to read her clients. We had a Valentine's Day wedding, and Diane did a wonderful job of cooridinating our flowers with that day in mind, our personalities, and the style of our wedding. Knowing that I wanted to preserve my bouquet, she made sure the colors were ones thatwould preserve well and not turn brown during the drying method. My wedding was September 6th and I couldn't have been happier to work with Diane. Until I met Diane, flowers weren't a high priority for my wedding, but once we started talking she changed my mind. We had an outdoor lakeside wedding and upon meeting her for the first time in person, she had a watercolor made that represented the beginning of the plan for our wedding.Below is a thank you letter that we sent to Diane, and I think it pretty much sums up the experience..."John and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the work you did to make the most beautiful bouquets, boutineers, and arrangements for our wedding! Before I knew it, you painted a picture of exactly what I didn't know I wanted, before I could conjure up any idea myself (big thanks for that). I honestly do not know where to begin other than saying that Diane was GREAT! I had the opportunity to speak with Diane several times over the telephone prior to meeting her for our personal consultation. From the beginning I could hear/see her passion for flowers which made us feel comfortable. She has the gift to not only create beautiful pieces of art, but the ability to read people�s personalities. After meeting with us for only a few moments she began to describe what she thought we wanted and it was dead on. I had the challenge of planning our wedding from out-of-state from over 500 miles away. Diane was there the entire time, lending advice and making the process effortless on our end. She communicated often with new ideas and the status of the availability of flowers. We had a late June wedding and she was even able to get tulips and hydrangeas-amazing! It goes without saying that her prices can�t be beat either. Unlike some other florists, she encouraged us to provide our own vases, rather than rent them from her, so that our guests could take home the centerpieces. She even told us where to buy them which was much less expensive than renting them. There are so many wonderful things that I could say about Diane, but this entry would go on forever. She captured the feel of what we envisioned for our special day and executed it perfectly. Know that you will be in the great and capable hands of an artist who is passionate about her work and her client�s needs.

It's a shame that you're only allowed Five Stars for every rating. Diane is a very knowledgeable and professional florist. She was recommended to me by a friend who had previously used Diane for her May 2008 wedding. Not only did my friend sing praises of Diane, I have to say it was all well merited. On our first sit down meeting, I gave Diane a very specific color scheme that I wanted to go with, being a graphic designer, I really wanted the colors to pop off the pool dresses. I chose to go with hot pink to pale pink and white peonies, each bridesmaid bouquet fading intensity from the last. I did not want a cliche bouquet, so I chose mine to be the darkest pink. We used very little roses, and the roses that Diane did use were so small and precious and smelled wonderful. She did warn that depending on the season some of the flowers we had chosen may not be available, but I was so impressed with her honesty and professionalism that I gave her my full trust to make decisions as she saw fit. Come wedding day, I was absolutely breathless with our flowers and decor. Diane threw in so much extra for no cost whatsoever (including peony petals for the aisle, and flowers from her own garden that smelled absolutely amazing) and she did not disappoint. 11 days later, my bouquet is holding up well, and still looks just as good as it did when I got married. Thanks so much Diane for everything, it was so wonderful to work with you.

Diane Steele did a great job with my wedding flowers! They looked beautiful on the wedding day. I started my search by e-mailing tons of local florist with the honest truth "I want alot of flowers with a small budget (~$500). She was the only one to respond positively to that. She said she would work with any budget. I originally wanted tulips and after a few months of thinking about them I changed my mind. I e-mailed Diane and it was no problem! She said we had plenty of time before the wedding to make changes. I was so nervous to ask her to change her entire plan but it was fine! She did exactly what I wanted for the price I needed! She also delivered right to my hotel which was so sweet. She dropped them off so we could have them in time for pictures of the girls getting ready. I wish I could post a picture here of what they looked like because they were so beautiful. They were a mixture of pink peonies ranging from light to hot pink! They were stunning against my white dress and the bridesmaids black dresses. I truly would recommend anyone to use Diane!! Thanks again Diane!!!

I am so happy to say, I was in love with my flowers and so wasn't everybody else. I was so lucky to find Diane, she work within my budget. She really takes the time to get to know her clients, and she has their best interests and happiness at heart. I must have sent her 1000+ emails between the time our wedding arrived. She responded extremely quickly and was very professional. She truly loves what she does and is very efficient. Diane at Yankee Floral did an exceptional job for my wedding. I had gone to a wedding that she had done and knew I wanted to use her! From the moment we spoke on the telephone she knew exactly what I wanted and envisioned. I am definetly not a girly rose kind of girl and she could sense that. During our first meeting I was able to tell Diane exactly what I wanted to spend and based on what was in season she was able to find exactly what I was looking for. on the wedding day she dropped the flowers off at the house and I was in awe. they were perfect for a winter wedding and everything I envisioned and more. The Center peice for the head table was stunning and huge! I still get compliments to this day when someone looks at my album!
