True Grace Makeup

One word, AMAZING! I absolutely LOVED my makeup and all of my girls makeup on my special day! Jennifer is such a sweet, fun and talented lady! From the beginning Jennifer was responsive and helpful! She even did my makeup two ways at my trail and to my surprise I went with the look that none of my ideas were like at all and like I said I LOVED it! Jen and her assistant even came to my bridesmaids rescue when our hair didn't quite go the way that we wanted to! I highly recommend Jen to any future bride!

Jen was AMAZING!!!! she made this day so special! she came to my house for the trial and before she came my bridesmaids didn't want their makeup done. after seeing he work all 5 of them and mothers got it done! We all looked so good I couldn't believe it! jen is the nicest person ever! I would totally recommend her no doubt about it!

We had Jennifer and Chris here the day of to get us ready!! They were a riot!! Soo much fun to work with, definitely make you feel comfortable... Three of my girls that weren't going to get their makeup done, loved what they could do and decided to anyways!!!! Would highly recommend!!

When I got engaged, people started buzzing around me about all of the details from the dress to flowers, hair, makeup etc...Honestly, I never thought about having someone do my makeup. Especially not on my wedding day! I am very fussy when it comes to those things :) The prospect was scary, but I decided to trial with Jen to see if maybe she could make it special for a special day as opposed to my own everyday makeup. I told her how nervous I was and we just talked for a bit about my makeup likes, dislikes, techniques and products. She was so warm, knowledgeable, and receptive that I forgot about my nerves and decided to go for it! The entire time she asked for my feedback and made sure it was what I wanted. Not how she thought I SHOULD wear it (as commonly heard from many stylists). She never took offense to each of the times I asked her to change something. I left the trial feeling like we established a game plan for the wedding day. The day of the wedding I had 8 customers for her including myself. She was so professional, yet so approachable, fun and sweet it made the whole morning fun for my girls and me! Just as I thought, I didn't have to tell her to change a thing that day. She incorporated everything discussed during the trial and I loved the end result! My bridesmaids all looked beautiful and they fell in love with Jen too! Even though this was the first time she was meeting with them she was able to sit and chat with each person before she began without falling behind in our time frame. We had a really diverse group. We had people that love makeup and wear it heavily, those that never wear makeup, my mom who just turned 60 and my little sister who just turned 17. Each person left with a timeless look they were happy with. Most importantly, everyone still looked like themselves. She used top of the lime products that stayed put all night for each photo and each hug. I didn't realize until my pictures came back, how important of investment this was. I know people think makeup and, "big deal you wash it off and its gone forever." Not the case with wedding photos!!! I have 1500 shots with Jen's work in them! I have to say that each face Jen touched was flawless in every picture! Thank you Jen for making my morning spectacular, helping make my wedding day perfect and my photos glowing reminders of it all! Jennifer was terrific! I am not usually a big makeup person, so for my trial she showed me different options, one darker and one lighter. It really allowed for me to choose what I liked the best. The option we chose on the day of was perfect. She coordinated some test shots with the photographers to make sure it all looked great in the photos which was really cool. The makeup lasted through the entire time, even well into the after hours party :) Jennifer was great in keeping everyone on schedule and relaxed so that I wouldn't feel the stress of the big day!

Jennifer is great! She is so much fun and so outgoing that she put everyone at ease, even those girls who never wear make up! I was so happy with the trial and the wedding day! She is such a joy and made everyone look beautiful!! I cannot thank her enough!

I would highly recommend Jennifer! I would say her best quality is her personality and quality of her work. Jennifer put me right at ease, which meant a lot to me. I was nervous the morning of my big day, but when I was surrounded by my bridesmaids, Jennifer, and my hair stylist getting ready, I felt great! Jennifer is super sweet, funny, and does the most amazing make-up. I was nervous my make-up would last, but it looked flawless all day and night. My bridesmaids looked great as well, and she made sure to give us all our own unique looks. She also will give you great tips on how to do your make-up and take care of your skin, which is a nice touch. She will make you feel special for sure!

I had been in contact with Jen about doing my make up for one year before the wedding. She kept in contact with me through the whole year to make sure everything was going ok and to get some make up ideas for my big day. My trial with Jen was great, she is so easy going and we had a great time. The day of my wedding we had Jen and Chris to do our make up and it was AWESOME! The two of them were so fun to be around and to talk to. It was definitely the best make up I ever had and it lasted all night. I wish I could have this makeup all of the time. I will definitely recommend them to every engaged couple that I know.

WOW, where do I even start with Jen…AMAZING probably best describes everything Jen brings to the table every single time you meet with her!!!! I had the pleasure of meeting Jen a few years ago at family members wedding who LOVED her, and I was able to use her a time or two before my own wedding…when it came time for my wedding, I knew with out a doubt that Jen and her gang would be the ones responsible for making me and my girls look the best we could on my special day!!! Jen ensured me that she could to make up and had someone perfect to do hair. His name was Chris – when the two of them came to my house for my trial hair and make up, I was beyond pleased. That is when I had met Chris for the first time, and he was great – him and Jen make a perfect team!!! I signed a contract with Jen over a year before my wedding and never looked back. Her personality, spunk, talent and more made her the perfect gal for the job!!! Not only did she assist with make up, but she was there for me with wedding help and questions throughout the way. I wasn’t sure on a few other vendors and with her being in the business she was more than happy to get me in contact with reputable vendors. Jen truly listens to what type of make up you want and use every day – she does not make you look like a raccoon or cake the make up on like some do. She also has such a variety for every skin type. As soon as I met Jen, I knew I was in good hands. I would highly recommend True Grace make up to anyway and everyone – you will not be disappointed!!! THANK YOU!!!!

I don't know how to explain just how amazing Jennifer and True Grace is. I live in Connecticut and was getting married in Albany, she offered me so much help, not only on her services but on flowers, cakes and places for photos too. She was a true life saver when my hairdresser moved to California and I was without a stylist for my wedding. She quickly sent me photos of weddings that Chris had done and I was so glad that we were able to have the services of True Grace for our wedding. They made not only me look stunning, but also my entire wedding party of 14 girls. Their personalities were both professional and a breathe of fresh air, and the pricing was refreshingly reasonable. My husband and I were so glad that we hired TrueGrace for our wedding and continue to recommend them to everyone.

Jennifer has amazing energy & does beautiful work! I don't normally wear makeup and I felt like I looked very natural and that the makeup was not caked on me! Chris did my hair and he was so much fun! They are a great team and wonderful to work with.

I would recommend True Grace Makeup to every Bride. Working with Jennifer McCarthy from True Grace was such a fun procress. From my initial conversation with her to the prebridal session, to the wedding day, everything was smooth and enjoyable. Jennfier responded to all of my emails, and there were a lot of them, immediately and always made herself available to me for anything that I needed. Jennifer was so much fun to have in my bridal suite on the morning of my wedding. Her pesonality really added to the excitement of the day. She listens to exactly what you want and makes certain that you look the way that you want on your wedding day. There is honestly no one else out there that could make you look more beautiful or give you a better experience!

To anyone who is considering hiring TrueGrace....follow your instincts and just do it!! I was several months away from my wedding, while I was still searching for a hair and make up artist. It was through pure luck that I learned of Jennifer and True Grace Make Up when an artist I had originally been referred to was unable to work with me on my wedding day, but gave me Jen's name. Jen was immediately genuinely friendly, easy going, and down to earth. Because I was living out of the area, we spoke first on the phone and by the end of our first conversation, I felt at ease about all facets of True Grace's involvement in my wedding day. She had even assured me she could provide a skilled hair stylist, who I immediately liked upon meeting him as well. My husband and I planned and paid for 90 percent of our wedding and were on a very stringent budget. In addition to this, I was very mindful of the fact that this was my wedding and not my bridesmaids', meaning that they shouldn't be asked to pay large sums of money for one day and one wedding, but still deserved to have a good experience. Jen's work and the work of Christ Burt, the hair stylist who came with her, was of incredible quality at an amazingly affordable price. In short, we were provided with services I would have expected to cost three times as much. Jen and Chris were wonderful about making not only me, but my bridesmaids feel special and beautiful as well. For me, knowing everyone was happy was worth every penny. On top of which, Jen worked to accommodate my maid of honor, who suffers from Celiacs Disease (An auto-immune Gluten Intolerance) by including her in a complimentary consultation to ensure she would not have an unexpected reaction to make up with gluten on the day of the wedding. Throughout all this, getting to know Jen and Chris personally was such a nice experience on top of everything else that went so well. Jen is lovely, warm and seems always to be in good spirits. Chris is comedic, professional and inviting. I am so glad they were among the special people with me on the day of my wedding, personally and professionally!

Jen was a dream come true! She was a true joy to work with from start to finish, not to mention she made me, my girls, and my beautiful mother look gorgeous for my wedding day! From trial to getting ready on the morning of the big day - she was fun, professional and fit right in with everyone. I cannot speak highly enough of her as a person, professional and as an artist. Jennifer is AMAZING! She talented, professional, funny, and VERY easy to get along with. I had so much fun with her on my wedding day. She makes sure to cover what you want covered without plastering the makeup on. Its very soft and light, and for someone who doesnt wear the foundation and the blush and whatever else on a regular basis, her makeup and application of it was seamless... I never knew or felt like I was wearing makeup. Kudos Jen, Im so glad to have you as apart of my wedding day memories!!

Jennifer from True Grace did my makeup for my wedding day, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is! Not only did I feel absolutely beautiful for the whole day, she was the perfect person to have with me the morning of the wedding. She is consummate professional, but is also bubbly and fun, which helped put me at ease the day of the wedding. She came right to the house, which worked out perfectly. The makeup she applied lasted all day - from 10am that morning to 1am the next day I felt gorgeous thanks to Jennifer. I highly recommend True Grace for your big day!

True Grace Makeup did makeup and hair for my wedding. I couldn't have been happier with their services. As somebody who wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, I found comfort in the fact that they were willing to take the time necessary to find my perfect look fo the big day. Jennifer was amazing! She works with you to create the style that you like. Her professionalism was awsome, but she was SO much fun to work with. She was friendly with all of my friends and family, and was EXTREMELY flexible when a few changes needed to be made. My makeup looked amazing, with a look that I felt comfortable with. My entire bridal party agreed that she was AWSOME! I would HIGHLY reccomend Jennifer to anyone (And I will definately hire her in the future for anytime I need a makeup artist!!!)!!
