She made the most beautiful wedding cake I've ever seen. It was EXACTLY what i wanted and not only was it beautiful but it was DELICIOUS! I couldn't have been happier with her Weddding Cake Service. Amy was, by far, my favorite vendor to work with. She met with us and brought 3 actual cakes-not just little pieces to sample- and they were delicious! The cake was incredibly moist and was the biggest star of the reception. The detail was a damask design made out of buttercream, not fondant, and it was absolutely flawless. Not to mention that 3 weeks before the wedding we needed to add an extra layer to our cake, and Amy was perfectly fine with it. Unfortunately, our top layer won't make it to our first anniversary because we just ate it after we got home! Thank you so much, working with you was the greatest decision we made for our wedding!!!

The cake that Amy made for our Wedding was absolutely amazing!! It was chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! And it was the best cake I have ever had. It was so pretty, Amy did such a great just decorating, especially because I didn't give her much guidance in that regard! I am still hearing from people how delicious it was! Amy was so accomodating and helpful. I never had to worry about the cake for a second. She made it so easy and I would recommend her to anyone!!

I had to plan my wedding from California to take place in New York. I really did not know where to begin in preparation for such an event that would take place in three months. Amy was amazing. She was thorough and punctual with her responses and meeting my needs in every way possible. She sharred her ideas while listening careful to the needs of my own. She replicated a cake I had choosen in California and brought her own vision to the style as well and the cake turned out absolutely gorgeous. She surpassed my highest expectation and created nothing short of a work of art. I couldn't have asked for anything less than perfection because that's the personal standard she sets for her business. Less is more was the motto that rang true in our personal experience. She worked to meet our budget and what we could afford to do, leaving out excessive unwanted and unnecessary cost. She was really amazing and the cake was so beautiful. I feel lucky to have had her provide our wedding cake for our special day. I would give her a 10 plus rating for meeting all our needs and going way beyond the call of duty. She provided us with an amazing fliorist and guided us through the process of creating the wedding of our dreams. From the cake tasting with several different flavor and filling combinations of our choice that we were able to take home to share to the anniversary cake that she left for us to freeze, Amy truly went above and beyond. Amy Mears and Sweet Expressions was an incredible part of the wedding planning experience. I really had no idea going into the cake selection and design process and when I met with Amy, we planned and brainstormed ideas. Her enthusiasm was contagious and she was so creative. Within our first visit we created my vision and when the 'big day' came, the final outcome was beyond my imagination. Amy was also extremely professional and also very willing to go along with my nontraditional ideas for a wedding cake. Besides the ceremony, the cake was one of the biggest hits of the day.

Amy Meara was wonderful to work with and so accommodating. She went out of her way to make my daughter's wedding day as stress free as possible. We had tried several bakers for the wedding cupcakes and her's were miles ahead of the other's in taste, appearance and variety of flavors. And Amy's prices were the most reasonable. The cupcakes were moist and flavorful. Amy offers her own custom designed decorative wraps to coordinate with the wedding colors and provided a beatuiful stand on which to display them. The display was so tempting, guests kept coming up and asking when the cupcakes would be served. And after the cupcakes were served, then there was a mad rush to trade for the exact variety each wanted. Often at the end of a wedding there are lots of left over cake slices. At my daughter's wedding, guests were asking for extras to bring home. We ran out, even after ordering 25 extras. We would highly recommend Sweet Expressions to any bride looking for cakes or cupcakes or any dessert for her wedding.

Working with Amy was a dream! Of course my favorite part was the tasting as she brings giant pieces and you get to take them home! She did exactly what we wanted and even made a separate little cake and wrapped it properly for us to freeze and have on our one year anniversary. She truly enjoys what she does and it absolutely shines through in her work. Thank you so much Amy for making us a beautiful and utterly delicious cake! I will 100% recommend you to anyone who asks!

Amy did a fantastic job creating and baking our Kosher wedding cake. The cake was absolutely delicious and we we received countless compliments on its appearance and taste from so many of our guests! It was a pleasure working with Amy and we appreciate all her hard work!

Loveloveloved this cake! I shopped this around a lot prior to deciding on Sweet Expressions, even though i had heard such great things about Amy. None of the other companies in the area could even come close to the pricing or the quality that Sweet Expressions offered. It was a tough design, but ended up being everything we imagined and more! Well I cannot say enough about Amy Mears cakes, they are absolutely beautiful, fabulous and so delicious. I planned my wedding from top to bottom by myself and I am an extremely picky person when it comes to having a vision and making it come to life. All I had to do was tell Amy what my vision was and give her a little direction and she did the rest. She absolutely brought my vision to life and it was so much more than I could have ever dreamed of!! Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect and we had so many compliments on it after the wedding. Amy truly has a gift and was so easy to work with, very flexible and friendly she made me and my husband feel right at ease. We were able to sample all the flavors we requested and they were all so delicious it was hard to choose. Thank you so much Amy for being a part of our special day and making it stress free for us!! Needless to say I will be using Amy for all of our future cake needs:0)

The cake was absolutely delicious and beautiful. Amy worked with our florist to create exactly the cake we wanted. I will recommend her to all of my family and friends!

Our cake was amazing! Amy did a wonderful job creating the look I wanted, based on some pictures, emails, and a short talk we had. She worked together with the florist for the cake's flower decorations and they were perfect (she recommended the florist we used and we loved her too - Yankee Floral). We got married in Altamont, NY, but we live in Pittsburgh. Amy was easy to work with from long distance. She even arranged for us to get a second set of sample cakes on one of our visits to NY because we were having trouble deciding on our flavor combinations (she has lots to pick from). And, most important to us, the final cake tasted GREAT. Her cake was by far tastier than anything else we tried. I highly recommend the turtle filling! I have no complaints about the service we received.

Amy was great to work with! She was very professional and eager to help and discuss any questions or concerns we had. All of our guests keep telling us we had the best tasting wedding cake they've ever had and that it look absolutely beautiful! Amy's work is incredible and we would HIGHLY recommend her!!

Amy was wonderful! The wedding cake was beautiful, and she was willing to make several small changes to the decorating plan as I thought of different things. She made a groom's cake of brownies and drew a castle freehand for me. My groom was totally surprised and pleased. Amy was VERY easy and fun to work with. Highly recommended

I cannot say enough good things about Amy Mears and Sweet Expressions! When we first started looking for a baker/cake decorator for our wedding cake I contacted Amy and set up an appointment to meet with her and taste her cake. Amy asked us to choose a few different cakes flavors and frosting and even helped us to pick out some good pairings etc. Now most tastings involved a tiny sliver of cake that had been cut from a larger cake or a little cupcake, which I found made it very difficult to get a real idea of what a fresh cake would taste like. That is why we were so surprised and thrilled when at our first meeting Amy had brought a little mini cake in each of the flavors we had chosen. This was great as we were able to bring some back to our families and have them try them as well...and hands down Amy's cake was the one that everyone LOVED. This was just the icing on the cake! I was not any ordinary bride in that I had some very out of the ordinary requests for Amy that she was more than willing if not even excited about doing! Amy worked with me on every little request & detail that I had. She was so incredibly flexible. We absolutely LOVED the flavor of Amy's cakes, they were moist and rich as was the frosting! We especially loved her strawberry cake and the white sour cream cake! I would highly recommend Amy Mears and Sweet Expressions for all of your wedding cake needs!!!
