I went almost immediately to try on wedding gowns. My first (and only) stop was Davids. I wish I went to a few more boutiques, if nothing else, just to have fun trying on wedding gowns. Everyone seemed knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I wish I could say the same about alterations ... I took my dress for my first fitting 2 months before the wedding, like I was told. My dress fit perfectly when I ordered it, so I didn't think to ask about measurements (no one measured me). I try on the dress, and its about 3 inches too tight in the chest area! At this point, I'm a mess! I was doing kickboxing religiously, I couldn't possibly gain that much weight! Their solution? To make me spend more money on a dress that is too big on me, so I can pay even more, to have it altered down! No thanks! After about 2 hours of going back and forth, one of the seamstresses suggests adding a corset back to the dress. I swear, I saw a halo form around this little womans head! Problem solved! From then on, just minor snafus - no one told me I had to pay in advance for alterations, and I had to ask them to steam the dress twice, because it was still...

I had the WORST experience at Davids. I found a beautiful dress that I couldnt have been more lucky to have found, considering I didnt need a SINGLE alteration on. I found "the dress" on a Friday night... I was told to pick my dress up on Monday, as they were steaming and pressing it(65.00 charge for this) along with the veil. I was told to come back between 4:30-5:00 that Monday. I arrived at 4:45 and told the desk person my name and that I was there to pick up my dress... THIRTY minutes later, I had sensed a problem, and asked another girl where the dress was. Long story short, my consultant never steamed and pressed my dress, and had forgotten all about it. After the girls searching for my dress, since it wasnt in the "to be pressed" area, I was now there an hour and 15 mins. I then had to wait another HOUR as the pressed it, since I refused to leave without my dress. When it was FINALLY done, I unzipped the bag, only to find that my veil was not in there!! She had to go back and spend another 20 mins. steaming my veil. ONLY to come back and show me, and OF COURSE, it wasnt even the veil I had paid for!!! She had to retrieve a CORRECT one, and STEAM all over again for another 20 mins.! After a total of THREE AND A HALF HOURS, me crying the whole time, and, missing a dinner party for friends, I would NEVER go there again!!!

The only thing I would have to say abut Davids Bridal is that they do such a good job it's understandable that they get so busy. I never thought that I would find a dress like mine at a store like David's Bridal. You watch all these wedding tv shows and think that they wouldn't have the quality for the price which is so not true!!! My dress was the 2nd one i tried on and immediately fell in love. It was an a-line with a chapel train and beading everywhere!!! I added cap sleeves and a bustle and all in all I only paid $600 total. They were very accommodating and all the workers were friendly.

We ordered 1 bridal gown, 4 bridesmaids dress, 1 flower girl dress, and 1 mothers dress. Out of all of them only 1 dress came out correctly. The attendents did not measure us properly and all of the dresses came in wrong expect for 1. My gown was 2 sizes too small and the would not do anything to help. I was forced to lose a lot of weight to fit into my dress which caused a ridiculous amount of stress. My girls tried to get their dresses fixed and only one was allowed to get it exchanged, they rest had to get them tailored. I would never use this company, unless the only thing you care about is price.

Gail my consultant was AWESOME! Th alterations were a nightmare, all they had to do was a hem, it was awful!!

I loved my dress and my bridesmaids loved their dresses and none of us went broke! We looked amazing. David's Bridal has beautiful, affordable styles for everyone. My bridesmaids came in various shapes and sizes and they all looked awesome. Plus it was so easy for them to buy their dresses. And I got lots of compliments on my dress!

THIS DAVIDS BRIDAL made me CRY, SCREAM, YELL and CURSE on multiple occasions! :( They lost my bridesmaids shoes days before the wedding. They sent us wrong sizes. We sat around for hours waiting to be helped while we had an appt and they were helping walk-ins first. The icing on the cake is when I picked my dress up from the "free" steaming they do for you, THERE WAS PEN INK ALL DOWN MY DRESS. Pen marks, by the seamstress TWO DAYS before my wedding. I would never step foot back in that store. The service was nasty, rude and unhelpful.

My wedding dress was gorgeous - I got a great deal from David's Bridal. The consultants there were very helpful, helping me with a number of dresses and accessories to see which one would look best. However, their alterations dept is terrible - they didn't complete mine all the way through and we had to take to a dressmaker to fix. The cups weren't sewed in, the string to hold up the train wasn't in the right place, and they originally wanted to make a bustle out of a halter top dress (which would have made my rear look huge). When we took to a dressmaker, they saved the dress by doing a French bustle and we tied up the ends of the dress just before the reception. Dress shopping is wonderful here but reconsider where you get alterations.

Great job to the crew at David's Bridal. My wedding dress as well as my wedding party's dresses could not have looked better. Great service and everything promised was delivered.

Bridget was wonderful. She stayed with me and my bridesmaids till after hours and patiently brought dress after dress until we were all happy. My dress was perfect and I would send everyone I know to her; she was the most helpful salesperson and worked to get what we wanted without pushing us to get us to buy the most expensive items and accessories.

The first dress I ordered from DB came right away with a quarter size stain on it. I drove from CT to NY to pick it up only to have them return it to the manufacturer. A month later I still didn't have my dress but found a different one on their website that I preferred. After I was given attitude by them they finally relented and let me switch dresses. After the final alteration we found that this dress had ripped down the back seam. As it was lace they were able to fix it quickly. My dress was beautiful though and looked much more expensive than what I paid for it. With David's Bridal you get the experience you pay for, but I loved my dress!

David Bridals of Colonie, NY...Has the most wonderful and patient staff. I found the perfect dress for 99 dollars. And the inventory was great, the shoes and accessories were all up to season. All the similing faces made me stress free while looking for my dress, I had nothing else on my mind and that is the type of service every bride needs. Thanks Ladies......Love Mrs. Martin

I ordered my bridesmaids dresses through Davids. The plus side was that they were in a good location, and i was able to look through their website to find the dress i had in mind, and the cost was the right price. The neg was that the quality of the dress was lacking, I had chosen the mix n match option and some of the pieces did not line up together. The other neg was that after telling them several times that one of my bridesmaids was no longer in the party they kept calling me over and over to tell me that she hadn't gotten her dress! no duh! I would not recommend this place to anyone in the near future.

I planned on going to a local shop. Unfortunately only David's was open on a Sunday, the day I had managed to get moms and maids together for shopping. It ended up working out very well because I found a gorgeous dress at a great price. I was very happy with Yvonne, she was sweet and helpful. Alterations were quick and easy, and the woman who did them was very personable and nice. I know a lot of people gripe about David's, but I was very happy with my experience.

I got quick service. I like to look by myself at first just to get an idea of what I was looking for. They gave me my space and when I was ready, they were right there for me. I like that I could go through the many different dresses without the pressure of a sales person there pushing meor making me feel like I was holding them up . I picked the 1st dress I tried on and loved it and so did everyone else.

I was amazed that I actually walked out of the store with wedding gown in hand. If you don't mind off the racks, and can find a good seamstress - for fittings, they have great values.

The woman who helped us was great. She was willing to help me with as many dresses as I wanted to try on. The store environment was also great. My daughter is 2 and they didn't say a word about how loud she was in the store. They also were willing to rush order my bridesmaid dress in the appropriate color.

My attendant was great, she let me try and re-try dresses on for about 3 hrs. And gave very honest opinions which i appreciated it. She also realized the style i seemed to lean towards and kept giving me those types of dresses. The value was good, my dress was only $500 and came very quickly. Alterations was about $150 or so so in total the dress was about $650 - not bad for NY. I wasnt fond of the seamtresses that work there, but I if you don't get it done there you lose some sort of guarantee.

they misplaced my dress & they didn't really care about it. they were in rush to help me or find it. after i looked through the store for 2 hours--i found it. it was not worth the low prices by any means.
