Birch Hill Catering and Events

Beautiful setting (conservatory room), food was delicious but they needed food choices when invites went out and I was not happy with that. They had a frat party in the other room at the same time as the wedding and needless to say ladies room was fillled with drunk, vomiting frat girls. Ran out of toilet paper and no staff ever visited or checked bathrooms. Wedding cake is situated in the back corner, no one could see it as tables were around it. When it was time to cut cake very few people knew what was going on and didn't see it. They didn't move it to the center so that it was a ceremonious part of the wedding. VERY DISAPPOINTED! When called afterwards they tartly stated "We always do it like that." Had we known it would have been different. Also told us 3 days before wedding that Budweiser beer which we picked from their list would be $30/case more. Be careful & get everythin in writing!

The people at Birch Hill Catering were the best! They made my wedding really come alive both with the outside ceremony as well as the insided reception. They took great care of us throughout the day and made sure that all my guests were happy and taken care of. I would highly recommend them to any future couple getting married. The food was fabulous also!!

Birch Hill was a beautiful place to have our wedding. It was suppose to be outside by the pond, but unfortunitely it rained, so we did it inside. but that turned out just as beautiful. Birch Hill was so flexible with us, and were always there to help. The food was to die for, the atmosphere was so inviting and just made everyone want to have a great time! There was so much food to choose from to have at the reception that we just wanted to have it all! They also helped us with our favors too, and always had amazing Bridal Shows. We worked with Belinda who was absolutely terrific!!!! She helped us with sooooo much and lead us in all the righ directions! She was a huge help and was there for us the entire time! Birch Hill is an amazing place to have a wedding and/or your reception, whether you are inside or outside, it all turns out beautifull!

AMAZING! Birch Hill easily surpassed any expectations that I had for my wedding day. My husband and I, as well as our family and friends had the time of our lives and couldn't have been happier. The staff was fabulous, the food delicious, and the decor elegant. To top it off, my coordinator, Belinda went above and beyond for me. I highly recommend Birch Hill for a ceremony/reception venue, as well as for catering!!

Our Wedding day was great!!! Birch Hill was wonderful. The staff was right with you, what ever you need they were there to help.

Birch Hill was so amazing! The day of the wedding all the details were worked out so I didn't have to think about anything. The ceremony and reception looked beautiful - everything was perfect! Staff was friendly and courteous - I actually got many comments from wedding guests saying how nice the staff were and that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Food was spectacular! They even gave out doggie bags of filet mignon! I would highly recommend this vendor to anyone who wants a beautiful wedding to remember.

Birch Hill was beautiful and did work with us on most things. When we added chair covers to our order though we came to set up the day before and foudn that they were planning on keeping the same dirty chair covers from the previous weekend's event. We were horrified. This was not only disgusting, but also unprofessional. If chair covers are going to cost $5 per chair they better be clean. The linens were also wrinkled and they did not have a steamer to correct this, they were content with a mediocre look. They were nice enough, but the cake was not served and most people did not get to taste all of the treats form the viennese table because they ran out and had no back up.

Do not book your wedding reception here! Lets face it, when you walk into Birch Hill - it is very attractive to the eye. The main ball room is perfect!... but all that is good about Birch Hill stops there.The costs kept mounting... with every little added detail came an enormous price tag. What went wrong?... The chair covers we paid $4.50 per chair for, were used! We were told fresh linens is the reason for the cost...we did an unexpected visit the the venue the day before the reception, and caught the maids spot cleaning the chairs! They were used by another party.The food was substandard. I blame ourselves for that though - the description of the dishes sounded amazing, we did not do a taste test. That will never happen again.Our seafood dish had 3 – 4 pieces tiny pieces of seafood, our chicken dish was nothing like it was described, the steak was soaked in ‘gravy’… it was embarrassing.We had an early October wedding and asked if the lighting on the patio was enough for a cocktail hour, we were assured it was. Our guests were using their cell phone lighting to see the choices!There is so much more, but not enough room here.I spoke to the owner, he was rude and argumentative. I reported Birch Hill to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals Office. The Attorney Generals Office instructed Birch Hill to reimburse us 1/3 the cost of food. We never received a cent.

Birch hill was amazing. Our coordinator Erin Dewey went above and beyond for us. We knew they would be great but they were beyond great!! The food was fabulous, the staff great and the set up was gorgeous!!! They did a great job! It was everything we dreamed for!

We set the date 1 year in advanced and had 4 different coordinators. Our first coordinator was amazing but then was fired for being too helpful. We reffered another couple to have there wedding here and the first coordinator gave us discounts for providing them with more business. Then with each change in coordinator we had to inform them of what the discounts were, many of them were taken away. We were told that we were going to have 2 different beers on tap of our choice, that were unlimited amounts, no extra charge. then we were told that we could only have 1, and we had to pay for the second. we had 3 different prices given to us to have the picnic tables removed and round tables put in place of them.We were told to go to the open house so that we could taste test the food. I confirmed that they were going to have our menu items there and the coordinator said yes. When we got there tHey had none of our menu avilible to taste test. I talked to the owner abou this and he told me that they never planned to have our food there, because it wasn't what they normally serve at weddings, and that they would not do a personal testing because he would have to hire a cook to come in just for that. He also read me his list of credentials and told me that I should trust his jugdment on it.1 of the coordinators told me that she was informed not to spend time on us, because we were not a typical wedding and so we do not get a event coordinator with our package, when in the contract it said we did. On the day of the wedding our coordinator left the event and sat in the office instead of making sure everything went smoothly, instead our photographer had to step up to that position.The pavilion had oil stains on the floor from boats and cars being stored in there, which we were told would be cleaned up.The Staff did do a good job of pulling things together (cleaning the machines, counters, setting up the tables), after this was requested.I would NOT recommend anyone using this facility.

I would highly recommend birch hill. The location was beautiful. For the reception we had the front ballroom and the decor was stunning. The food was also amazing. Which is one the most important things to me. I dind't want my guests to leave hungry and be disappointed with their food. Wonderful!

Do not have your wedding here I spent so much money and nothikng was the way it was sapposed to be, The food was horrible, the service sucked and I didn't get everything I paid for. For the money I spent My Wedding should have been fantastic, but instead it was a disaster
